The Above played an amazing set on an otherwise uninspiring bill at Bowery Ballroom this Saturday to a large group of devoted fans and some stunned/amazed punters expecting cock rock.

Sadly, I was harrassed by Bowery security for “videotaping” (their words) the show. I did get some video which will be posted shortly… thankfully the vocal harmonies and harmonica rang out particularly well in such a big space while Ihan’s guitar flourishes with a hint of late 60’s psych were spot on.

Later, the after party in Tribeca was a blast too with Quadrophenia on the bigscreen, classic 80’s garage revival tunes pounding and a good group dancing the night away.

 Whatta Night!

Gentlemen, more please.
