Rain, rain and more rain… whatta week. Well, it’s going to rain some more tonight, a little tomorrow, and then it’s supposed to clear up for Saturday night. Thankfully there’s a 100% chance of rock’n'roll this weekend (yes, yes, in lieu of rocks, please throw money) if you follow our simple steps.

Dylan “Otto” Bahn and January 1963 return for their monthly Barf-o-Rama 60′s DJ gig at K&M Bar in Williamsburg. FREE.

Cowboy Mark & Miss Mary are doing their 50′s/60′s DJ thing at Diamond Bar in upper Greenpoint. FREE.

DJs Jumpy, Mic-Lo and 2 more are at Legion for another 60′s night called FLIP CITY with 2 rooms of fun! FREE.

Captain Heartlock bravely embarks on a new night at Brooklyn’s garage punk headquarters, Don Pedro. It’s called “Radio Shangri La”, and it’s in the basement where they let you do naughty things AND play pool while the lovely Bree pours and pretends not to see what you’re doing. FREE.

AND DJ Smokestack & Miss Polka Dot (of Tuesday’s Hot Dog! Night) will be rocking sets of garage, rockabilly and soul at Matchless. Kitchen open ’til 3 – try the wings. FREE.

MANHATTAN-Style:
If it’s live fun you’re after, the Chrome Cranks reunite at Santo’s Party House in Tribeca, ably supported by New Jersey’s Friggs. $?

Also 80′s Legend and recent Stooges bassist Mike Watt performs with his “Missingmen” at Mercury Lounge. $?

If you’re STILL looking for a 60′s DJ night (have you been paying attention?) There’s Shakin’ All Over Sideways Down at Home Sweet Home (assuming Sr. Toubin hasn’t left town again?). FREE.

JERSEY-Style:
Rockabilly Hero Roddy Jackson will be doing a set with the A-Bones at Maxwell’s in Hoboken.

Liquor Store opens for Cause Co-Motion! at Bruar Falls on Grand St in Williamsburg. $?

Internet sensations/Westcoasters Pink Reason return to Death By Audio. $?

Tunnel of Love & Awesome Color are doing a Todd P show at Market Hotel deep (deep!) in Brooklyn. $?

Jumpy & Girlsoul spin the soul greats at Huckleberry for SOUL A GO GO! FREE.

AND, last but not least, HULLABALOO! returns to Don Pedro featuring the amazing live Demon’s Claws, Brooklyn garagers Organs, Montreal’s sloppunkers Nymphets and spookiness of K-HOLES. I’ll be DJing (mostly the hot rod stuff I wanted to play last week but couldn’t) and so will the Charles. $7 and doors at 9PM. By the way, Pedro’s has a kitchen so you can get eats too!

and Chicago’s Mannequin Men play the Cake Shop 4th anniversary party (demand their version of “Little Red Riding Hood” !)

Instrumentalists Moto-Gators will be slinging a set at Union Pool in the front room. Lil’ Killers’ Andy will be DJing after. FREE.
