Founder & Alcoholic-in-Chief of GaragePunkNYC, Shimmy is a longtime DJ and booker of garage & punk shows. He's done damage in locales as far apart as Prague, Portugal and (gulp) South Carolina. His other projects include Hullabaloo! and contributing to Bananas, a print zine.

Fun times at Union Pool last Saturday…

So I came in the last 60 seconds of Daytona’s set – no luck on photos or videos there.

The Foxx were on next. They’re a great sort of 70′s-style rock / glam band with killer riffs.

I got only one decent photo from afar, plus a video:

I missed the next band (Yellow Dogs).

Last up were Habibi, new to me although I’ve seen Erin in several bands before like Girls at Dawn and Big Fun and Karen of course in Peace Killers and at one point in Foster Care. Got some nice closeups and video. Good show!
