The big to-do of tonight is the bon voyage party for Labretta Suede and the Motel 6 at Lone Wolf in beautfiul Bushwick Brooklyn. Those insane garage rock Kiwi’s are going away on tour for over a whole damn month to their native New Zealand…the city is just about to get a little more quiet and slightly more sane. They are joined in this rock and roll bacchanal by The Naked Heroes and Lovestruck, with Drew Redmond (you again?) spinning greasy rock and soul all night long! Supposedly Lux Interior’s ghost is scheduled for a special guest appearance on the anniversary of his ascension. Hide your mom!
First Saturday’s means the only pure surf rock party going in the entire tri-state, Unsteady Freddie’s Surf Rock Shindig at Otto’s Shrunken Head! Obscure beach punk records in front, rock and roll by The Chillers, Strange But Surf, Commercial Interruption and The WrayCyclers in the back! Never a cover, 9pm kick off time!
