Yeah, you’ll have to excuse for the slip up on this Sunday’s post. Me & Georgie boy decided to skip town for the holidays just like 85% of the rest of NYC does for 4th of July. George was out camping and I was upstate at the folks house where its basically a lot like camping. So behold a late and of course my very expectedly short post. Unlike last week’s post, this post can basically be summed up in about two very small paragraphs. Everyone busted their load last week leaving this week pretty tame.
Monday July 9th
So its looking as if WFMU’s DJ Fine Wine’s night at the Ace Hotel is going to be a weekly thing. I got another invite for it this week on Facebook. Well I guess that works out perfect and gives all you folks something to do on Mondays again! This definitely seems to cater for those of you who want to go out on a Monday, but keep it early for work the next day. Fine Wine will be keeping the work week safe hours by spinning from 8PM till 12AM.
Your other option for Monday night is at Bar 4 with DJ Uncle Heavy’s night Blue Monday with 50s, 60s, & 70s r’n'b & soul from 9PM till 4AM.
Tuesday July 10th
Yet another incredibly short list of things to do for Tuesday as well. Fortunately the two things going on are both happy hours which collectively span over the course of a majority of Tuesday leaving you with the potential to get really drunk the entire day/night for very cheap and leave you very hungover for work on Wednesday. So for starters there’s Technicolor Tuesday happy hour at Motor City with Captain Heartlock spinning garage, psych, & punk plus Max Frechette slingin’ the drank from 6PM till 10PM. Immediately after that starts Hot Dog Night at Bar Matchless with buy 1 get 1 free drinks and kick ass DJs all night long from 10PM till 3AM.
