Here’s the second episode of ’Talk Talk of the Town’, wherein we interview the drinkers and shakers around the scene and even some folks from places outside the tri-state!

Subscribe to Talk Talk on the Town on iTunes by clicking here.

Episode two is the second part of my interview with Sean Bonniwell of the Music Machine, the 60′s LA band, that I did for EastVillageRadio back in 2008. Sean passed away about a year ago and I had the chance to interview him for 2 hours for an old EastVillageRadio show I used to do called Planet 45.

In this episode, Sean talks about the Music Machine’s shows at The Trip here in NYC as well as an all-black nightclub. He also talks about Curt Boettcher (of the Millenium), songwriting and production, the end of the band, what he saw as his influence on punk, and playing with the Fuzztones back in 2005.

The recording is a bit lo-fi, so forgive my pathetic technical means. Look forward to better quality recordings in the future!

Music in this episode:

intro: Singing Dogs – Rock’n'Roll (from Las Vegas Grind 1 on Crypt)
The Music Machine

For the first episode of this new podcast, I’m digging up an interview I did with Sean Bonniwell of the Music Machine, one of thee legendary 60′s garage bands, back in 2008. Â Sean passed away about a year ago and I had the chance to interview him for 2 hours for an old EastVillageRadio show I used to do called Planet 45. Â The Music Machine was of course a huge influence on the Garage Rock Revival scene here in NYC in the 80′s and continues to shape the sound of bands like New York’s Othermen among many, many others.

The recording is a bit lo-fi, so forgive my pathetic technical means. Look forward to better quality recordings in the future!

Sean was an amazing musician, songwriter, talent and wit. Â I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did.
