I do believe this is the first of the Holiday Season true rock and roll parties! Those wild kids Kick and Hiro from The Baxx Sisi’s host their monthly rager Go Go Gorilla at Otto’s Shrunken Head and it’s a stacked one, with performances by Sato & Jonny, The Piggies and Sit Die & Co.! With an early 10pm DJ set by the one and only Jonathan Toubin and inbetween and after swing by WFMU almuni Dave the Spazz and Gaylord Fields! That’s hot. That starts at 10pm. That’s FREE.

The majestic destruction that is Born Loose will tear the roof and flood the basement of the near mint Saint Vitus this fair evening! Playing along with The Nuclears, Cinema Cinema, and Eagle Hawk Falcon Owl! Here’s a new drinking game, take a shot for every “WTF” sentence Larry lets loose during the set! (and I say that with absolute awe and admiration) See ya!

Mr. Toubin hikes it back to Home Sweet Home on the Chinatown / LES demarcated line for Shakin’ All Over Under Sideways Down from 11pm till close, spinning maximum 45′s of hard soul and rock and roll! Our own golden baby farting ape Drew Redmond spins for Metropolis Happy Hour beforehand from 8pm with his selections of 50′s and 60′s brat rock! Matt Hollywood of The Brian Jonestown Massacre spins at the fancy upstairs cocktail lounge all night!

The lovely La La Linda Rizzo plays psych, garage, punk and funk for the uptown set at the easy and greasy Ding Dong Lounge on Columbus Ave. and 105th in Manhattan from 10pm till 4am with no cover and no quarter given!

Dj CrystalBlu spins girl group, psych, surf and garage for happy hour times at the Manhattan Beauty Bar from 7pm till 11! Go get your nails did, drink a vodka tonic, and swing your neck!

Grace of Spades has her monthly thang at punk rock bowling alley The Gutter in Williamsburg, where she spins soul, vintage R&B and doowop from 10 till close!

Saturday December 3rd

Over at New Jersey’s greatest live venue Maxwell’s: Spend your evening here noshing on the five star grub and sucking down Coronas! Early start off set at 8 by Barrence Whitfield & the Savages followed by Brooklyn’s kings of  soul punk, Mighty Fine! Hard garage combo The Improbables perform wildly at 10pm, along with powerpopish The Brixton Riot and The Anderson Council…$8 cover!

Meanwhile back in Brooklyn at the tater tot rock hell hole The Trash Bar you can catch The Bamboo Kids, Jukebox Zeros, The Mess Around, and Guitar Bomb! Show starts at 8 for probably 8 dollars and that free open bar from 8 till 9 will likely be in effect. See how many PBRs you can down in an hour, you creep

SURF’s UP!, motherfuckers! It’s the first Saturday of the month which means it’s Unsteady Freddie’s Surf Rock Shindig at Otto’s Shrunken Head! Freddie and company spin the boss tunes in front, with live authentic surf rock in the tiki room by Pacifica Roadshow, The Boss Guitars, Thee Icepicks and The Maui Hurricane from 9pm on and on! No cover!
